It functional Designer Finance & Risk

Your mission :

As a member of the transversal IT Functional Design Team, you will participate to support the Finance & Risk Framework implementation and lead the transformation of the existing platform.

You have a deep understanding of the business definition, value and accuracy of the data. You assure that all information relevant to the Finance & Risk as well as the business strategy is properly defined, stored, shared and transversally available, wherever the data originates from.

The mission requires close collaboration with Accounting & MIS, Risk Management (Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk) business teams as well as Enterprise Architects and development teams to understand business needs and be able to bring transversal solutions which could support requirements.


Your main activities :


• Lead functional analysis by qualifying business requirements, proposing implementation scenarios in line with the Finance & Risk strategy, architectural principles and guidelines
• Respect Project Portfolio Methodology and Target Operating Model by producing Functional Design related documentation
• To collaborate with the test competence center team by specifying test conditions and expected results based on requirements, by conducting functional test cases
• To facilitate IT solution estimation in collaboration with project managers and IT development teams
• To collaborate with Business Process team by identifying opportunities, driving changes and improvements in business architecture and processes design
• To ensure global information consistency, quality and documentation & sharing in link with Enterprise Architecture objectives
– Information quality: ensure that information ownership and accountability is properly defined, and that the appropriate processes are put in place to prioritize and address the data quality issues, and to make concrete the improvement of Master Data quality (Golden Sources)
– Information consistency: ensure that the business users share common definitions for business data
– Information documentation & sharing: ensure the appropriate level of documentation is available to and known by all relevant business parties
You will participate to the Finance & Risk streams of the Transformation Plan project which aims at :
setting up T24 core solution for Finance & Risk with support of external packages for regulatory reporting’s (FINREP, COREP, LCR/NSFR, …), internal business follow up and reports
Ensuring migration of out of support external solutions
Providing a consolidate golden source of data to be shared by Finance & Risk teams
Ensuring data that are accurate and consistent, complete, secure and available on time (challenging deadline, top management & shareholders boards)
Optimizing business processes to respect internal and regulatory deadlines
Contributing to feed a shared data dictionary, to coordinate the input for the Finance & Risk data scope and validation process from the business data owners
Managing compliance with Reference Data Management guidelines, Data Privacy/Security Standards and Data Modeling guidelines


Your qualifications :


Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Engineering – Master
Languages : English & French
Knowledge of Data Modeling Methods
Knowledge in MEGA / HOPEX solution for Enterprise Architecture and UML design will be an advantage
Advanced knowledge of SQL querying
Prior experience of functional analysis in IT, with a proven ability to understand business issues and to structure functional specifications
General knowledge of the banking products and services
General knowledge of the general ledger, cost accounting and MIS principles
General knowledge of the Credit Risk, Market Risk and Operational Risk principles
Knowledge in Moody’s Enterprise Risk Platform (Risk Authority, Risk Confidence) will be an advantage
Knowledge in Wolters Kluwer Financial Services FRSGlobal Solution will be an advantage
Knowledge in Hyperion ESSBASE Solution will be an advantage
Knowledge in T24 Core Banking System will be an advantage
Good knowledge and understanding of the banking processes
Knowledge or prior experience in Business Intelligence tools architecture, concepts (CODS, Datawarehouse, datamarts) and management in a self-service environment : Qlikview, Business Objects, SAS, …
Interest in bank regulation (Basel III, IFRS9, EMIR, SFTR, BCBS239…)
Interest in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, data mining activities
Your profile :

Ability to clearly document functional specifications and to explain the added value in business terms
Willing to learn (technologies, methods, business activities) and to develop new competencies
